Frequently asked questions
On 3 April 2023, Phoenix Group bought Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (U.K.) Limited. At the end of November 2024, it was renamed to Phoenix Life CA Limited making it part of the Phoenix Life brand. This was an important step towards integration into the Phoenix Group.
There will be no changes to your policy because of the name change. Your policy number, benefits and terms and conditions will all remain the same. There will also be no change to the level of service we provide or the way we administer your policy.
Your investment choices have not changed, and you will still have the same fund range available to you.
If you previously used the MySloc portal to access your policy, you now need to use the CAMyPhoenix portal.
Your log in details won‘t change. Please use your MySloc username and password to log in to CAMyPhoenix. This will provide all the same information and services that you had before.
If you have bookmarked the MySloc portal, you need to update this to ca.myphoenix.co.uk.
There will be no change to the amount, frequency, or the date of your payments. From December 2024, you will see the name Phoenix Life CA Limited on your bank statements.
The amount of your premiums and payments will not change.
Payments by Direct Debit
You don’t need to do anything to continue paying by Direct Debit. Your Direct Debit will automatically change to Phoenix Life CA Limited, and this will be shown on your bank statements.
Payments by Standing Order or bank transfer
From 2nd December 2024, please change the recipient or payee name to Phoenix Life CA Limited.
Payments by cheque
From 2nd December 2024, you need to make your cheques payable to Phoenix Life CA Limited.

Managing your policy online
Managing your policy on our Phoenix Life website
In the Manage my policy section of our website you’ll find the information and guidance you need to make changes to payments, cash in your policy, make a claim and more.
To access the information for your policy, please follow the steps below:
- Manage my policy can easily be reached from our homepage. Or you can find it in the Customer centre option in the main menu at the top of the page.
- Once you’ve selected Manage my policy, a pop-up will appear asking for the name of the company your policy was with before it became part of Phoenix Life. Please select the Sun Life Financial of Canada option and this will take you to the correct page for your policy.
Managing your policy through CAMyPhoenix
CAMyPhoenix is an easy, secure way to access and manage your Phoenix Life policy online. You can view all your policy details at a time that suits you.
With CAMyPhoenix you can:
- Check how much your pension or life policy is worth
- Change your personal details – like updating your name or address
- View your payments
- Nominate the people or charities you would like to benefit from your policy when you die
- Contact our experts through the MyPhoenix secure messaging service if you have a question or need help.
CAMyPhoenix is available for previous Sun Life Financial of Canada customers at ca.myphoenix.co.uk. Simply log in using the username and password from your MySloc account. If you didn’t use MySloc in the past, you can now register for CAMyPhoenix.
