• 2009
  Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (U.K.) Limited bought Lincoln National (UK) PLC and its subsidiaries including Lincoln Assurance Limited.
• 1995
  Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (U.K.) Limited bought Confederation Life Insurance Company.

2 As part of the transfer, ReAssure Life Limited transferred its Swedish, Norwegian, and German policies to Phoenix Life Assurance Europe dac.
ReAssure Life Limited is also part of Phoenix Group.

In 2022 Phoenix Life Assurance Europe dac was set up in Ireland to accept the transferring European business of Phoenix Life Limited and ReAssure Life Limited.
