Phoenix Life Limited
The High Court of Ireland approved the transfer of policies from Phoenix Life Assurance Europe dac to Standard Life International dac, another company in Phoenix Group. The hearing took place on 12 November 2024.
The policy transfer will happen on 1 January 2025 for customers with Phoenix Life branded Irish, German and Icelandic policies as well as ReAssure branded Swedish, Norwegian and German policies.

On 27 October 2023, policies of Phoenix Life Assurance Limited, Standard Life Assurance Limited and Standard Life Pension Funds Limited transferred to Phoenix Life Limited.
2023 Standard Life policy transfer
On 1 January 2023, we transferred all of the Irish, German and Icelandic business in Phoenix Life Limited, to Phoenix Life Assurance Europe dac.
On 31 December 2018, we transferred all the policies of Abbey Life Assurance Company Limited to Phoenix Life Limited.
On 8 December 2017, we transferred all the policies of AXA Wealth Limited to Phoenix Life Limited.
On 31 December 2016, we transferred certain pension annuities to ReAssure Limited.
On 30 June 2015, we transferred all the policies of National Provident Life Limited to Phoenix Life Assurance Limited.
On 30 September 2013, certain pension annuities transferred from Phoenix Life Limited to another UK life insurance company, Guardian Assurance Limited.
On 31 March 2012, we transferred all NPIL policies and certain NPLL policies to Phoenix Life Limited. The NPIL policies that transferred included former Pearl Assurance (Unit Linked Pensions) Limited, Pearl Assurance (Unit Funds) Limited and London Life Linked Assurances Limited policies that were moved to NPIL in October 2006.
In February 2011, we transferred all PALAL policies to Phoenix Life Limited.
We transferred certain protection products from Scottish Mutual Assurance Limited and Scottish Provident Limited to Royal London in December 2008. For information on these products, visit www.scotprov.co.uk. We transferred the rest of the business of these companies to Phoenix Life Limited In February 2009.
In December 2006, we transferred the life assurance business of six companies into Phoenix Life Limited. The companies were Alba Life Limited, Britannic Assurance plc, Britannic Retirement Solutions Limited, Britannic Unit Linked Assurance Limited, Century Life plc and Phoenix Life & Pensions Limited.
Phoenix Life Assurance Limited
On 27 October 2023, all policies of Phoenix Life Assurance Limited (PLAL) transferred to Phoenix Life Limited.
On 30 June 2015, all the policies of National Provident Life Limited transferred to Phoenix Life Assurance Limited.
On 30 September 2013, certain pension annuities transferred from Phoenix Life Assurance Limited to another UK life insurance company, Guardian Assurance Limited.
Phoenix Life Assurance Limited was previously known as Pearl Assurance Limited. Its name was changed on 28 September 2012 to reflect the fact that the enlarged company is a key part of the Phoenix Group.
On 30 September 2012, all London Life Limited policies transferred to Phoenix Life Assurance Limited.
We transferred National Provident Life Limited With-Profits Self Employed Retirement Plans to Pearl Assurance Limited in February 2010. Pearl has since been renamed Phoenix Life Assurance Limited.
BA (GI) Limited
On 31 March 2012, we carried out a transfer of non-life insurance business from Pearl Assurance Limited (Pearl) to BA (GI) Limited, another company within the Phoenix Group.
